Slovak folklore in Ostend

Folklore is still very important in Slovak society. During this weekend in Ostend, you will have the chance to meet 2 of very good folklore groups from the Liptov region.

Programme:

Friday

hotel check-in
buffet-style dinner, drinks included
welcome speech
Slovak and international music with drinks

Saturday

optional programme:
- trip with me to my birthplace Wijnendale/Torhout. Guided city visit to Wijnendale and Torhout, reception with snacks and drinks brightened up by the Wijnendale folklore group “Danspas” (price to be decided)
in the eve “market” filled with presentations, tastings, sales of Slovak products, live music
festive dinner, drinks included
show featuring 2 Slovak folklore groups: children’s folklore group Dumbier from Liptovsky Mikulas and folklore group Liptov from Ruzomberok
performance by singing bus driver Gery and party with John Dennis
DJ plays songs to dance to until the early hours

Sunday

breakfast buffet
final performance by Slovak folklore groups
safe journey home after a pleasant introduction to Slovakia, Slovak folklore, Sojka resort and Sojka friends

Price for participating in this weekend:

adult: 279 euro per person
